AI Assistant for Spreadsheets That Keeps the Numbers Current
The office runs on three spreadsheets and all of them are stale. Officeagent appends the rows, builds the Monday rollup, fixes the formatting drift and explains any formula in plain English. You review the numbers instead of assembling them.

Weekly rollups and report tabs, built on schedule
Tell Officeagent once what the Monday report looks like: pipeline by stage, spend by category, hours by client. Every week it builds the rollup tab from the raw data, dates it, and posts the three numbers that changed most into your daily brief or your team channel via the Slack integration. The report exists before the meeting that needs it, every week, without anyone assembling it at 7 am.
Report tabs are additive: the agent writes new tabs and new rows, and never edits your formulas or historic data on its own. Structural changes it thinks you need, a new column, a restructure, arrive as proposals for a human to approve, in line with the approval-first rule that runs through all of Officeagent.
- Weekly and monthly rollup tabs generated on schedule
- Key changes summarized in plain language, not just cells
- New rows and tabs only; your formulas are never edited silently
- Report snapshots dated so history stays comparable
- Charts refreshed to include the latest period
Rows appended from email, documents and forms
Most spreadsheet staleness is unentered rows. Officeagent closes the gap at the source: an invoice arrives and becomes a row in the expenses sheet through data entry automation, a signed contract updates the client tracker, a form submission lands in the leads tab. Each appended row links back to its source document, and low-confidence values are flagged for a human instead of typed in wrong.
The sheets live where they already live, in Google Sheets or Excel through the Google Drive integration or Microsoft 365. Nothing moves to a new tool; the tool you have simply stops being stale.
Data hygiene and formulas explained in plain language
Officeagent sweeps connected sheets for the usual rot: dates in three formats, "N/A" next to blanks, duplicated rows, currency columns holding text, broken references. Fixes are proposed as a diff you approve, then applied and logged. And when you inherit a workbook full of someone else's VLOOKUPs, point at any cell and ask. You get a plain-English answer like "this pulls the client's rate from the Rates tab and multiplies it by hours, and it will break if you sort column A", in seconds instead of an afternoon.

Questions on this
Will it break our formulas?
No. The agent appends rows and creates new tabs; it never edits existing formulas or historic cells on its own. Hygiene fixes and structural changes are shown as proposals a human approves, and every change is logged and reversible.
Does it work with Excel or only Google Sheets?
Both. Google Sheets connects through the Drive integration and Excel through Microsoft 365. The same rollups, appends and hygiene sweeps work in either.
Can it build a report we design ourselves?
Yes. Describe the report once in plain language, or point at last week's version, and the agent reproduces the structure on schedule with fresh data. You can refine it by editing any output and it learns the correction.
Is this a replacement for a data analyst?
No. It handles upkeep: entry, rollups, hygiene and explanations. It flags anomalies it notices, but interpretation and decisions stay with you. Officeagent is not financial or professional advice.
