Fyxer AI Pricing per Seat and Why the First Invoice Surprises People

Fyxer costs $49 per person per month on Pro and $99 on Team, billed monthly. Billed annually that falls to $37 on Pro and $64 on Team, charged upfront for the full year, and Team has a two seat minimum. There is also a Free plan at $0, which records meetings and answers chat questions inside 400 credits a month but does not sort your inbox or draft replies. Enterprise is custom. The $30 Starter and $50 Professional prices that most articles still print belong to legacy plans that Fyxer replaced in September 2026.

Those numbers are the easy part. The harder question is what you will actually be charged, and there the vendor's own documentation is more useful than any review. Fyxer bills plan price multiplied by seats, names the specific workspace setting that creates seats you did not intend to buy, and now gives every paid seat a monthly credit allowance that meeting recording and inbox sorting draw down. Its trial FAQ also says a trial with a plan selected converts to that plan automatically, and advises you to set your own reminder.

How much does Fyxer AI cost per month?

Annual billing is 25 percent off on Pro and 35 percent off on Team, and it is charged upfront for the whole year rather than spread monthly, so the saving comes with a cash-flow decision attached. Ten Team seats annually is $7,680 in one payment at list price. That is not unusual for this category, but it does mean the discount is only a discount if you are confident about the tool at month two. A launch offer also gives Pro and Team unlimited credits for the first three months, so the first quarter will not show you what a normal month's usage looks like against the allowance.

What happened to the $30 and $50 Fyxer plans?

They are legacy plans. Starter was $30 per seat per month ($22.50 billed annually) and Professional was $50 ($37.50 billed annually). In September 2026 Fyxer introduced Free, Pro, Team and Enterprise in their place. Existing customers can stay on Starter or Professional or switch, but a new buyer no longer sees them on the pricing page.

That matters when you research, because some other Fyxer pages and nearly every third-party review still print $30 and $50, along with advice written for those plans. If an article tells you the entry tier is $30, it is describing a plan you cannot buy. Price from Pro at $49 monthly or $37 annually.

How do Fyxer credits work?

Every plan has a monthly credit allowance, and different actions cost different amounts. Fyxer's help centre publishes the rates.

Fyxer's own pages disagree on the chat rate, so treat the higher figure as the safe one until the meter in your account tells you otherwise.

A worked example on Pro, which includes 3,000 credits a month. Someone with 20 hours of recorded meetings uses 1,200 credits. If Fyxer also sorts 4,500 emails for them in the month, that is another 900. The total is 2,100 of 3,000, with room left for a few dozen chat messages. Most single users will sit inside the allowance.

The people who will not are the ones who live in meetings. Fifty hours of recording uses all 3,000 credits on its own, before a single email is sorted. Sorting alone would take 15,000 emails to do the same, which almost nobody receives. So the number to estimate before you buy is your recorded meeting hours, not your email volume.

When a Pro or Team account runs out, which can only happen from month four because of the launch offer, Fyxer says it warns you at 80 and 100 percent, pauses inbox sorting first while recording continues, and contacts you about a plan. Extra credits can be bought once the launch offer ends. Unused credits do not roll over. On Free there are no top-ups: chat and recording pause until the next month, and an account that is inactive for 30 days is paused.

What does Fyxer cost for a team of 2, 5 or 10?

Per seat per year, Pro is $444 on annual billing and $588 paying monthly. Team is $768 on annual billing and $1,188 paying monthly. Everyone in an organisation is on the same plan, so you cannot put two people on Team and the rest on Pro.

The annual columns are single upfront payments. Fyxer quotes volume pricing for Team from 10 members, so the last row is the list price and the ceiling rather than what a ten person team must pay. The gap between Pro and Team is what you pay for shared Spaces without a cap, assigned follow-up owners, team reporting, admin controls and the doubled, pooled credit allowance. If none of those are on your list, a group of individuals on Pro is $324 a year cheaper per person on annual billing.

How does Fyxer per-seat billing work?

Fyxer's billing documentation is unusually plain about this, and it is worth reading before you invite anyone. The bill is the plan price multiplied by the number of seats. Its own example is a $49 plan with 4 members, which comes to $196 a month. Billing is managed at the organisation level, so there is no arrangement where individuals expense their own.

Invitations nobody has accepted are free, and so are Viewers, who have read-only access. A seat starts costing money when a person joins as a member. So an evaluation where you add four colleagues to see what they think is an evaluation that adds four seats to the invoice once they accept.

Then there is the setting. Fyxer's own help material identifies the most common cause of unexpected charges as a workspace option called "Automatically add users for this domain", found under Dashboard, then Admin settings, then Organization, then Members & access. It enrolls anyone signing up with your company email address. In a 40 person company where somebody posts a link in a team channel, that option turns interest into billing without anyone approving a purchase. It is documented, it is not deceptive, and it is also not on the pricing page, which is why people meet it on a card statement rather than in a decision.

If per-seat creep across a stack of tools is a recurring pattern rather than a one-off, the structural fix is not vendor by vendor. It is getting an alert the moment an unexpected charge lands instead of finding it in a month-end reconciliation, because by then the renewal has usually already happened.

What happens when the Fyxer trial ends?

The trial is 14 days, up from 7, and it is a trial of the Team plan. Each colleague who joins gets their own 14 days.

What happens at the end depends on which Fyxer help article you read. The plans article says that if you have not chosen a paid plan, the account moves to Free and nothing is charged. The trial FAQ says the account converts automatically to the plan you selected at signup, that billing starts, and that any seats in the workspace are included in the first charge. On reminders the same FAQ says "Set your own reminder to avoid surprises."

The safe reading covers both. If you picked a plan and entered a card, expect to be charged on day 15 for every seat in the workspace. If you did neither, expect to land on Free and lose inbox sorting and drafted replies.

Two practical consequences. First, put a calendar block on day 13 of the trial, before the seats and the charge both become real. Second, the seat count that exists when the trial ends is the seat count on the first invoice, so run your evaluation on your own mailbox first and only add colleagues if you have already decided to buy. Doing it the other way round, adding the team on day two to gather opinions, is how a $49 trial becomes a several hundred dollar first month. Remember too that you are trialling Team at $99. If you mean to buy Pro, check which plan is selected before day 15.

Is Fyxer AI free?

Partly. There is now a Free plan at $0, and it is narrower than the name suggests. It includes 400 credits a month, which is about 6 hours 40 minutes of meeting recording or roughly 20 to 40 chat messages, plus a weekly email briefing, a daily dashboard and 3 personal Spaces. It does not label your inbox and it does not draft replies. Those two features, which are the reason most people look at Fyxer, start at Pro.

So the Free plan is a light meeting notetaker with a briefing attached, not a free AI email assistant. If free email help is genuinely your constraint, check what you already pay for first: Google Workspace Business plans include Gemini in Gmail at no additional cost, and if you are on Microsoft 365 you can price Copilot at $18 per user per month annually rather than adding a third subscription. A meaningful number of teams buy an AI email tool for something their existing licence already does.

Does the Fyxer notetaker cost extra?

There is no separate notetaker licence, and recording is available on every plan including Free. It is no longer unmetered, though. Each recorded minute costs 1 credit, so the notetaker is the feature most likely to use up an allowance. On Pro, 3,000 credits covers 50 hours of recording a month if you used them for nothing else. On Free, 400 credits covers 6 hours 40 minutes.

The notetaker joins Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet, records, transcribes and produces a structured summary with decisions and action items. Compare that with buying the pieces separately and the bundle still looks fair: a standalone notetaker subscription plus an AI email tool will often cost more than $37 to $49 a person between them. There is one documented ceiling to know about. Fyxer's documentation states that the notetaker records up to two hours per meeting and anything beyond that is not captured. For ordinary calls that is irrelevant. For all-day workshops, board meetings, training sessions or long depositions it is a hard limit, and it is the sort of thing you discover after the meeting you needed it for.

What does Fyxer Enterprise cost?

Custom, on an annual contract set up by sales, and the number is not the important part. Fyxer's pricing page FAQ still states a 50 user minimum for Enterprise. Single sign-on, SCIM provisioning, audit logs, the full API, private cloud or dedicated tenancy, regional data storage and the DPA and HIPAA terms all live on that plan.

The consequence catches out exactly the companies that are otherwise the best fit. A 25 person professional services firm with an IT policy requiring SSO cannot buy the configuration it needs on Pro or Team, because the plan that carries SSO has a floor twice its headcount. If SSO or SCIM is a requirement rather than a preference, establish that on the first call. It is an architectural gate, not a negotiating position.

Is Fyxer worth the price?

For one person handling heavy email, yes, comfortably. The drafting is the reason people stay: reviewers consistently describe replies that are close enough to become an edit rather than a composition, drafting costs no credits, and the included notetaker removes a second subscription. At $37 to $49 a month, one recovered hour pays for it, and most heavy email users recover more than one.

It gets less obviously worth it as the shape of your problem changes. A calendar with more than 50 recorded hours a month runs past the Pro allowance. Five colleagues make it $185 to $245 a month on Pro and $320 to $495 on Team. And per-seat economics mean the bill grows exactly in step with the team, while the thing you bought stays the same size: a better inbox.

The honest test is what is actually on your desk at 6pm. If it is unread mail, Fyxer removes it. If it is the work the mail committed you to, the documents to find and send, the file to put somewhere the team will locate it in March, the client who never came back about the estimate, then a faster inbox changes how quickly you read the pile without changing the pile. Two of those comparisons carry a constraint that decides them before price does. Shortwave connects to Gmail and Google Workspace only, so Microsoft 365 shops are out regardless of budget, where Fyxer supports both mailboxes. And Superhuman keeps its Auto Drafts and Ask AI on the upper tier, so the realistic figure to compare against Fyxer Pro at $37 billed annually is $33 for Business rather than the $25 Starter price. The suite plans page shows Mail starting in Business, while Superhuman's help centre still lists Mail Starter at $30 a month or $300 a year.

How do you cancel Fyxer?

In the product: Dashboard, then Admin settings, then Billing, then Cancel subscription. Fyxer states that once cancelled you will not be charged, which is the behaviour you want during a trial. If a charge has already landed unexpectedly, Fyxer directs you to email support with your account email and the charge date, and says the request will be reviewed against its refund policy. That is a policy-dependent outcome rather than a guarantee, so the reliable move is cancelling before day 14 rather than arguing after day 15.

Questions worth asking before you commit

• How many hours of meetings will each person record in a month, and does that fit inside 3,000 credits on Pro or 6,000 on Team?
• Do we need shared Spaces, assigned follow-up owners and team reporting, or is everyone better off on Pro?
• Is "Automatically add users for this domain" switched on in our workspace, and who is allowed to switch it on?
• Who is invited during the trial, and can that wait until after we have decided?
• Which plan is selected on the account, and is there a card on file, before day 15?
• What will month four look like, when the launch offer of unlimited credits ends?
• Do any of our recurring meetings run past the two hour notetaker ceiling?
• Does our security policy require SSO, and do we have the 50 users Fyxer states for Enterprise?
• Is our CRM HubSpot, and if not, what happens to the CRM writeback we assumed we were buying?
• On annual billing, are we comfortable paying twelve months upfront after a 14 day evaluation?

The seat question is the one to answer in writing before anyone signs up, and the meeting hours question is the one to answer before month four. Seats and credits are the only two lines on a Fyxer bill that move on their own.
