Howie AI costs $25 a month to start. That buys the Team plan with a pool of 1,250 credits shared by the whole workspace, and you can raise the pool in steps up to $2,500 a month for 150,000 credits. Teammates are unlimited, an assistant email address at your own domain is $20 a month extra, and Enterprise is priced on request. New workspaces get $25 in credits to try it before paying.
Those figures come from the pricing section of Howie's own site, read on the date of this article. Several pages that rank for this question still describe an older flat-fee price list, which is not what Howie sells now. Below is the full credit ladder, what each step costs in a year, the one number Howie does not publish, and how the total compares with Calendly, Reclaim, Motion and OfficeAgent.
How much does Howie AI cost per month?
Howie has one self-serve plan, Team, and you choose its size by picking a monthly credit pool. Every step is billed monthly in US dollars.
| Monthly price | Credits per month | Credits per dollar | Cost per year |
|---|---|---|---|
| $25 | 1,250 | 50 | $300 |
| $50 | 2,500 | 50 | $600 |
| $100 | 5,000 | 50 | $1,200 |
| $250 | 13,000 | 52 | $3,000 |
| $500 | 26,500 | 53 | $6,000 |
| $750 | 41,000 | 54.7 | $9,000 |
| $1,000 | 56,000 | 56 | $12,000 |
| $1,500 | 86,000 | 57.3 | $18,000 |
| $2,000 | 117,000 | 58.5 | $24,000 |
| $2,500 | 150,000 | 60 | $30,000 |
The first three steps are priced flat at 50 credits per dollar. From $250 up, each step adds a small bonus, and the $2,500 pool gives 60 credits per dollar, which makes the top tier 20 percent cheaper per credit than the bottom. Add $20 a month ($240 a year) if you want the assistant to write from an address at your company's domain.
Why some sites still describe a flat Howie subscription
Several review and directory pages that rank for Howie pricing describe an older model: one flat monthly fee, a pricier premium tier, an annual discount and a fixed-length trial. Howie's current pricing section shows none of that. It shows the credit selector, the $20 custom-email add-on and an Enterprise card. If you are building a budget, use the credit ladder above and check Howie's page again before you commit, since a company that has changed its pricing model once can change it again.
What does a Howie credit buy?
This is the question that decides your real cost, and Howie does not answer it anywhere we could read. The pricing section sells credits and lists what the plan includes (email scheduling, instant responses, the iMessage agent, calendar audits, briefings, follow-ups and reminders) without saying how many credits a booked meeting, a reminder or a daily briefing uses. Credits are shared across the workspace, so one heavy user draws down everyone's pool.
That makes the first month a measurement exercise. Start on the $25 credit grant Howie gives new workspaces, run your normal scheduling through it for two or three weeks, and read the usage in the billing settings. Divide the credits used by the meetings booked and you have your own cost per meeting, which is the only number that lets you compare Howie with a flat-priced tool honestly. Do this before you move a whole team onto it.
What Howie costs for a team
Because the Team plan has unlimited teammates and a shared pool, Howie does not get more expensive per person the way a per-seat product does. It gets more expensive per unit of work. A team of three founders who each book a handful of external meetings a week may sit comfortably in a low tier. A sales team where every rep books ten or fifteen calls a week will burn through a small pool quickly and move up the ladder.
Three example budgets, including the custom address:
- Solo founder: $25 pool plus $20 custom email, $45 a month or $540 a year.
- Small leadership team: $100 pool plus $20, $120 a month or $1,440 a year.
- Busy sales or recruiting team: $500 pool plus $20, $520 a month or $6,240 a year.
Which tier each team actually lands on depends on the credit cost per action you measure in month one, so treat these as brackets, not quotes. If the assistant is going to send from your domain, it is also worth rolling out one signature template for the whole company first, so its emails look like they came from the same firm as everyone else's.
Is there a free version of Howie?
No free plan is listed. Howie's site has a "Start for free" button and new workspaces receive $25 in credits, which is the same size as the smallest paid pool, so you can run real scheduling through it before any charge. Once the credits are gone you choose a tier. For a business, treat the credit grant as a trial, not as an ongoing free option.
How much is Howie Enterprise?
Howie Enterprise has no published price. It is sold through sales and gives you a tailored credit pool, a rollout plan and a support package, plus invoicing and custom billing terms, security review support with a data processing agreement, an SLA with priority support, and dedicated onboarding. A company whose procurement team needs a DPA or pays by invoice will end up here rather than on the self-serve plan.
What Howie does not include at any price
No tier changes what Howie connects to. Its user guide says it currently works only with Google Calendar and asks people who want Outlook to join a waiting list, so a Microsoft 365 company cannot buy its way in. The guide also says Howie can reschedule only meetings it created or you created, not ones other people invited you to, and it cannot edit all-day events. And Howie is a scheduling secretary: it books, reminds and follows up on scheduling threads, but it does not draft the rest of your email, write meeting recaps or update a CRM. Our Howie AI review covers where it is strong and where it stops in more detail.
Howie pricing compared with other scheduling tools
| Tool | How it charges | Entry price | Calendars | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Howie | Shared credit pool | $25 a month | Google only | An assistant that runs scheduling threads by email, SMS and iMessage |
| Calendly | Per seat | About $10 a seat a month, billed yearly | Google and Outlook | Booking links people click to pick a time |
| Reclaim | Per seat | $10 a seat a month, billed yearly | Google and Outlook | Planning your own week around tasks and habits |
| Motion | Per seat, with AI credits | $19 a seat a month | Google and Outlook | Task and project planning with auto-scheduling |
| OfficeAgent | Flat per office | $149 a month, one person | Google and Outlook | Scheduling plus inbox drafts, recaps, tasks and follow-ups, approved by you |
The honest reading: if you are on Google Workspace and you only want external meetings booked without links, Howie at $25 to $100 a month is hard to beat, and Calendly is cheaper still if your guests are happy to click a link. Reclaim and Motion solve a different problem, arranging your own time. The AI scheduling assistant comparison goes through all of them.
When a flat price makes more sense than Howie credits
Howie's pricing suits people whose admin problem is mostly the calendar. It suits them less when scheduling is one task among many. The typical US office manager or executive assistant spends more time on the email around a meeting than on the booking itself: the agenda, the recap, the follow-up that nobody sends, the document that needs filing, the client who needs a reminder a week later.
OfficeAgent is built for that whole load. It connects to Gmail or Outlook, writes the availability email and books the meeting, then drafts the recap, creates the tasks and chases the follow-ups until someone replies. Every outgoing email waits for your approval. The price is fixed: $149 a month for one person with 300 approved actions, or $399 a month for up to ten teammates with 2,000, and $1,428 or $3,828 if you pay yearly. There are no credits to measure and a 14-day money-back guarantee. The pricing page has the details.
If you are on Microsoft 365, that is the practical answer to Howie's price, because Howie is not available to you. If you are on Google, try Howie's free credits and OfficeAgent side by side for two weeks and keep the one that takes more work off your desk.
