Where Howie stops

The first limit is the calendar. Howie's own user guide says it currently works only with Google Calendar and asks people who want Outlook to email and join a waiting list. If your company runs on Microsoft 365, which most US firms with an IT department do, Howie is not an option today, however good it is.

The second is scope. Howie is a scheduling secretary that has grown into reminders, follow-ups on scheduling threads and daily briefings. It does not triage your inbox, draft the replies that are not about time, write the recap after a meeting, file the documents or update the CRM. Its guide also lists smaller limits worth knowing: it can reschedule only events it created or you created, not meetings someone else invited you to, and it cannot change all-day events.

The third is control. Howie is built to act for you without waiting, which is the point of it: it replies on the thread as your assistant. Most people love that. Some teams, especially in regulated or client-heavy work, want every outgoing message checked before it leaves. Howie does not work that way by design.

How much does Howie AI cost?

Howie sells one self-serve plan, Team, as a monthly pool of credits shared across the workspace. It starts at $25 a month for 1,250 credits and steps up through $50, $100, $250, $500, $750, $1,000, $1,500 and $2,000 to $2,500 a month for 150,000 credits. New workspaces get $25 in credits to start. Teammates are unlimited, and a custom assistant email at your domain is $20 a month extra. Enterprise is priced on request and adds invoicing, a security review with a DPA, an SLA and dedicated onboarding.

The bigger tiers buy slightly more per dollar: the $25 tier works out to 50 credits per dollar and the $2,500 tier to 60, so the top of the ladder is 20 percent cheaper per credit than the bottom. What Howie does not publish is what a credit buys, whether one scheduled meeting costs one credit or dozens. Until you run it for a month, you cannot turn the price into a cost per meeting. Howie vs Calendly, Reclaim and Motion

Howie competes with two different kinds of scheduling tool. Against booking-link tools like Calendly, its advantage is that nobody has to click a link: the conversation stays in email or text, which suits senior people who find booking links abrupt. Against calendar planners like Reclaim and Motion, which rearrange your own week around tasks and habits, Howie is the one that talks to other people on your behalf.
