Read AI costs $15 per user per month on Pro, $22.50 on Enterprise and $29.75 on Enterprise+ when billed annually, or $19.75, $29.75 and $39.75 billed monthly. There is also a Free plan limited to 5 meeting transcripts a month. Enterprise+ requires at least five licenses, every license in a workspace must be on the same plan, and Read AI does not give refunds, so the plan you pick on day one matters more than the sticker price suggests.
Those figures come from Read AI's own pricing page and its help center, which agree with each other. What most pricing roundups skip is the gating: the recording you might assume comes with any paid plan is Enterprise only, and the controls an IT team asks for are Enterprise+ only. Below is every plan, what a real team pays in a year, the billing rules to know before you buy, and how the price compares with Otter, Fireflies and Fathom.
How much does Read AI cost?

Every paid plan includes unlimited meeting reports and unlimited storage, and Read AI says paid plans store meetings indefinitely. Prices are in US dollars per user per month.
Is Read AI free?
Read AI has a genuinely free plan with no card required, but it covers 5 meetings a month and caps each one at an hour. That is enough to judge the quality of the summaries and coaching. It is not enough for anyone who spends a normal working week in meetings, and a free account cannot be managed inside a team workspace. For a business, Free is a trial, not a plan.
What does Read AI cost for a team?
Because pricing is per user and there is no team discount below 100 licenses, the math is simple multiplication. Here is the yearly cost for common team sizes.

Two things jump out. Enterprise+ billed annually costs exactly what Enterprise costs billed monthly, so a team that expects to need the security features should buy them on an annual term rather than start monthly and upgrade later. And a team of two to four people that needs single sign-on still pays for five Enterprise+ seats, which is $1,785 a year at minimum.
Which Read AI plan do you actually need?
Start from the feature you cannot live without, then read across.
- You want notes, summaries and action items only. Pro is enough. You get unlimited transcripts and the integrations that push notes into your CRM or project tracker.
- You want to rewatch the call. You need Enterprise. Pro gives you the transcript and metrics but no audio or video playback.
- Your meetings run past four hours. Workshops, depositions, all-day training and board sessions need Enterprise+, which records up to eight hours.
- IT or compliance is involved. Single sign-on, SCIM provisioning, domain capture so staff cannot create stray accounts, and retention policies that delete reports after a set number of days are all Enterprise+. So is HIPAA support, which matters to any practice handling patient information. If you are adding a vendor like this in a regulated business, your team will want it mapped in its compliance management software before rollout, alongside the retention setting you choose.
Read AI billing rules to know before you buy
These come from Read AI's own pricing FAQ and help center. None of them is unusual on its own, but together they shape what you should buy.
No refunds. You can cancel at any time before renewal, but Read AI does not refund. If you forget, you keep access until the end of the paid period. That is the strongest argument for running a real month on monthly billing before committing to a year.
One plan per workspace. Every license in a workspace must be on the same plan. You cannot put two managers on Enterprise for playback and leave everyone else on Pro. If one person needs playback, everyone pays for it.
No admin-only seats. Every license is individual and there is no seat for someone who only manages billing. Read AI suggests making one of the users the workspace owner.
Licenses belong to the seat, not the person. When someone leaves, you can reassign their license rather than buying a new one.
Upgrades are retroactive for 30 days. When you move up a plan, Read AI reprocesses your last 30 days of reports with the new features, including unlocking meetings that went over the Free quota. That makes it low risk to start on Pro and step up later, as long as you stay in the same billing cycle.
Zoom customers may already have it. Read AI offers a Zoom Apps plan for customers whose Zoom subscription includes Zoom Essential Apps. Check your Zoom plan before buying seats you may already be entitled to.
Does Read AI offer discounts?
Yes, two kinds. Annual billing is 25 percent cheaper than monthly on every paid plan. On top of that, Read AI discounts annual license counts at scale: 10 percent at 100 or more licenses, 15 percent at 500 or more, and 20 percent at 1,000 or more. There is no published discount for small teams, so a 10-person company pays list price.

On price alone, Read AI is not the cheapest notetaker, and its free plan is the tightest of the four. What you pay the premium for is analytics: engagement and sentiment on the transcript, a personal coaching report on talking speed and filler words, meeting benchmarks, and a search tool that covers email and messages as well as meetings. If your team will actually use those, the price is fair. If you only want clean notes, the cheaper tools do that job. What a Read AI subscription does not pay for
Every plan above buys a better record of the meeting. None of them does the work the meeting created. The report tells you the client wants a revised proposal by Friday and that the follow-up call needs booking. Then someone still has to write the recap, create the tasks, send the proposal and chase the reply.
That is the job OfficeAgent does. Is Read AI worth the price?
For teams that want meeting analytics, yes. Pro at $15 a user billed annually is a reasonable price for unlimited transcripts plus coaching and engagement data, and the 30-day retroactive upgrade makes it easy to move up if you later need playback. It is a weaker buy for a team that wants the cheapest notes, a small team that needs single sign-on below the five-license floor, or anyone who wants a refund if it does not work out. Run a month on monthly billing, set the auto-join and sharing rules first, and only then commit to a year.
