How much does Front cost per month

Front prices every plan per seat, meaning per person who logs in to work conversations. The Starter plan is $25 a seat a month billed yearly or $35 billed monthly. Professional is $65 a seat billed yearly or $85 monthly. Enterprise is $105 a seat and is only sold on annual billing. Those figures come from the plan data on front.com/pricing, and they are the numbers your order form will show before any add-ons.

Yearly billing saves real money. On Starter the gap is $10 a seat a month, which is $120 per person a year. On Professional it is $20 a seat a month, or $240 per person a year. A 10-person Professional team that pays monthly spends $10,200 a year against $7,800 on an annual contract, so the monthly option only makes sense while you are still deciding whether Front is the right tool.

Several pages ranking for this search quote only the yearly figures, which makes Front look cheaper than it is for a team that wants to stay month to month. Price the monthly number too before you take it to finance.

What each Front plan includes

Every plan includes the shared inbox itself: assignments, tags, internal comments and shared drafts, message templates, scheduling and snoozing, guest accounts, and the basic AI writing tools (compose, translate and summarize). The differences are about scale and channels.

  • Starter supports one channel type only, so you pick email, Front Chat or SMS, not a mix. It allows up to 10 seats, up to 10 automation rules, basic reporting with six months of analytics history, and up to 10 connected channels per license.
  • Professional is omnichannel (email, SMS, chat, WhatsApp and social in one place), with macros, up to 20 automation rules, advanced analytics with 24 months of history, multiple workspaces, single sign-on and SCIM provisioning, up to 50 seats and 30 channels per license.
  • Enterprise removes the seat cap and the limits on rules and macros, adds custom roles, a multi-language knowledge base and unlimited analytics retention, and bundles Copilot, Smart QA and Smart CSAT into the seat price.

How much is Front Copilot and the other AI add-ons

This is where Front quotes and Front invoices drift apart. On Starter and Professional, the AI tools that most buyers think of as "Front AI" are separate purchases. Copilot, the real-time reply assistant, is $20 a seat a month. Smart QA, which scores agent conversations, is another $20 a seat. Smart CSAT, which auto-reviews customer satisfaction, is $10 a seat. QA and CSAT together are sold as a $25 a seat bundle. Autopilot, Front's AI agent that handles conversations on its own, is billed by usage and starts at $0.05 per conversation.

Add-ons are priced per seat, and Front assigns a plan to the whole organization, so you cannot put three people on Professional with Copilot and the rest on Starter. Budget the add-on for everyone who will work the inbox.

When Front Enterprise is cheaper than Professional

Run the numbers once and the Enterprise seat stops looking like a luxury. A Professional seat with Copilot is $85 a month on yearly billing. Add the QA and CSAT bundle and it is $110, which is $5 more than an Enterprise seat at $105, and Enterprise also lifts the seat cap and the automation limits. Buy the three AI add-ons one by one instead of as a bundle and Professional reaches $115 a seat.

So the rule is simple. If your team wants Copilot only, Professional plus Copilot is the cheaper path. If you also want QA scoring and CSAT review, go straight to Enterprise.

What a team pays for Front in a year

The table below multiplies the per-seat prices out for common team sizes on yearly billing. Two thresholds change the deal as you go up. First, Starter stops at 10 seats and Professional at 50. Second, Front's pricing FAQ says an onboarding package must be purchased for any contract over $25,000. Front lists those packages on a separate services page; budget for one when your total crosses that line. A 25-person Professional team with Copilot is $25,500 a year, so it crosses it, and a 50-seat Professional contract at $39,000 does too.

Two payment details matter for finance. Wire transfer or ACH is accepted only on annual contracts above $12,000; anything smaller is paid by card. And the 14-day trial runs on Professional features with no credit card, so a team testing Starter is actually testing the bigger plan.

Is Front worth the money

For a customer support or account management team that answers a real queue across email, chat and SMS, yes. Front is one of the most capable shared inboxes on the market, its routing and analytics are strong, and its Enterprise plan bundles the AI that rivals sell separately. If you run support@ for a growing product, it belongs on the shortlist next to Help Scout, Zendesk and Hiver, whose pricing we break down here.

It is a heavier purchase than many offices need. A lot of teams looking at Front are not running a support queue at all. They are three to ten people sharing info@ or office@, and the email in it is meeting requests, documents to file, invoices to chase and clients waiting for a reply. For that office, a help desk adds tickets and SLAs nobody reports on, and the work behind each email still lands on a person.

That is the job OfficeAgent does. It works inside Gmail or Outlook, drafts replies for your approval, books meetings from your real calendars, files attachments and chases follow-ups until each thread is closed. The Office plan covers up to 10 teammates with a shared office inbox for $399 a month, or $199 a month billed yearly ($2,388 a year). It does not do live chat, SMS, SLA reporting or agent QA, so if those are the reason you are pricing Front, buy Front. If the reason is an overloaded office inbox, compare our plans and the wider email management software guide first.

How to choose a Front plan in five minutes

Most teams can settle this without a sales call. Work down the list and stop at the first line that fits.

  • Up to 10 people on one channel, usually email: Starter at $25 a seat yearly, $3,000 a year for 10.
  • You need email plus chat or SMS, more than 10 seats, or SSO: Professional at $65 a seat yearly.
  • You want Copilot on top: add $20 a seat, and check the 50-seat ceiling on Professional.
  • You want Copilot, QA scoring and CSAT: skip the add-ons and price Enterprise at $105 a seat, annual only.
  • Your total will pass $25,000 a year: ask Front for the onboarding package price before you sign.
  • Your shared inbox is mostly scheduling, documents and follow-ups rather than customer tickets: look at an AI email assistant for the office before buying a help desk.

Front yearly cost by team size. Per-seat prices from front.com/pricing in US dollars, billed yearly; totals are seats multiplied by price for twelve months. Add-ons and onboarding packages extra.

Questions on this

How much does Front cost per month?

Front costs $25 per seat a month on Starter, $65 on Professional and $105 on Enterprise when billed yearly. Monthly billing is $35 for Starter and $85 for Professional; Enterprise is annual only. AI Copilot adds $20 per seat a month on Starter and Professional and is included in Enterprise.

Is there a free version of Front?

No. Front has no free plan. It offers a 14-day trial with the features of the Professional plan, and you can start it without a credit card. When the trial ends you choose Starter, Professional or Enterprise, each priced per seat.

How much is Front Copilot?

Front Copilot costs $20 per seat a month as an add-on to the Starter and Professional plans, and it is included in the Enterprise plan at no extra charge. Smart QA is another $20 a seat, Smart CSAT $10, or $25 for the two as a bundle. Autopilot is usage-based from $0.05 per conversation.

What is the difference between Front Starter and Professional?

Starter is limited to one channel type, 10 seats and 10 automation rules, with six months of analytics. Professional adds omnichannel inboxes, macros, 20 rules, advanced analytics with 24 months of history, multiple workspaces, single sign-on and SCIM, for up to 50 seats. It costs $65 a seat yearly against $25.

Can you mix Front plans for different users?

No. Front assigns one plan to the whole organization, so every seat in the account is on the same plan. You can add or remove seats within that plan at any time. Budget AI add-ons for every seat as well, since they are priced per seat.

Does Front charge for onboarding?

Front requires an onboarding package to be purchased with any contract over $25,000 a year. It sells three success services packages (Professional Onboarding, Enterprise Onboarding and project hours), priced on a separate page. Smaller contracts can onboard themselves using Front Academy, the help center and weekly office hours.

Is Front cheaper than Hiver?

At entry level they match: both start at $25 a seat a month billed yearly. Hiver includes its AI agents on every plan and requires at least two seats, while Front sells Copilot as a $20 add-on below Enterprise. Hiver works inside Gmail; Front is its own app connected to Gmail, Outlook and other channels.

Is Front worth it for a small office?

Front is worth it for a small team running a customer support queue across several channels. For an office of three to ten people whose shared inbox is mostly scheduling, documents and follow-ups, a help desk is often more than it needs, and an AI office assistant that does that admin work can cost less.
